The origins of Hi-Tec

Hi-Tec was founded during 1974 by Frank van Wezel in a place in England called Shoeburyness. As a lover of sports, Franks imagination and inspiration grew this was when he manufactured the very first shoe in the Hi-Tec range which was a lightweight comfortable squash shoe. In 1978 the company was established in America which gave rise to the worlds very first hiking boot called the Sierra Sneaker, and 1981 saw the launch of a running shoe called the Silver Shadow which was worn by about 23% of the athletes in the London Marathon. During 1988 the company was registered on the stock exchange and the company simply continued to flourish bringing out more evolved shoes for sports and outdoors and ever-growing as a company with several Hi-Tec stores located throughout the world an still growing.
